Garden on Tour

On July 8th 2017 my former garden was featured on the Chilliwack Rotary Club Garden Tour!  This is a big deal because the gardens are chosen based on a criteria that includes variety of plants, vegetables, living/lifestyle, usability and hardscaping.  Once I knew my garden was going to one of the 10 on the self-guided tour I went to work, dragging my husband and cousin along for the ride!  The first pictures are the new paths we put down and the rockery we had installed in the front.  Then the finished results!

we had a contractor remove the grass from the front, the final result is lovely and no maintenance, just a sweep every so often. It blends nicely with the neighbour.

a few weeks later we attended a lunch to receive our garden markers! The tour had over 125 people visit the gardens. getting ready was a lot of handwork but so worth it, it was a once in a lifetime event.
