Tea in the Garden

Hello, thank you for visiting my webpage.  I have had a love of plants for many years and tea is part of my everyday life.  This inspired me to combine my two interests together and I soon realized there are many connections between the plants I grow in the garden and the teas I enjoy drinking.  A good example is the white peony it is also the name of a famous white Chinese tea!  My Tea in the Garden books are a fun way for me to express my findings and like the white peony they are quite interesting.

I am also very inspired by the world around me and living near Mowat Bay in Powell River is nothing short of extraordinary!  Powell River has a great tea culture with tea shops and a tea house.  This region on the coast of British Columbia is also a great place to garden as the climate is mild.

In the past I taught tea courses at the University of the Fraser Valley, I was on the speakers list of the BC Council of Garden Clubs for 7 years, I shared presentations with garden clubs throughout my area.  I was on the executive of the Maple Ridge Garden Club for 10 years and an active member for 18 years.  My site will showcase my garden from the ground up as a new journey begins and the garden comes into being.

Thank you,

Heather A. Webb
